Copying could be Dangerous, Copy but be Safe!

Copying could be dangerous – Don’t just COPY, Consult.

I am writing this post with total humility & responsibility to all who try to copy me without even telling me a word. Generally many people have made their life better & even great by copying few of my great ideas. I congratulate them all and will request them to be cautious. However there are many struggling day in and day out to survive, grow & make sense of life. They are under depression, take medicines, take insulin & meeting with accidents. I feel pity on such guys and request all of these people to go through this post seriously.

Three Decades of Experiences

From my experiences, I had 3 categories of places (which signifies jump) in my life before I wrote book on unlearning in 2005. Three places are

1.   Alipore – This is the place where I was born. A pure native village of Bihar which does not have road or electricity even today. I did first stage of #unlearning at this place to do Electronics Engineering. None could even copy my life from this village & even till date other than my own siblings who lived life with me, there is no Engineer in my village. Few people just took inspiration to do something close to what I did all these years. Many of them earned better & respectable life. Copy from distant location gives some comfort but is not easy even you happen to see once a while on regular basis. Copy can’t help you to jump.

2.   Harnaut – This is the place where my close relatives live. They are still living there. They tried their best but could not copy much except that I became officer in Indian Air Force; one of them became Airmen in Indian Air Force. Copying is just not possible. Just few percentages can be followed. Even if we were meeting quite frequently, at least once every year for 20 years, they could not copy the great life I lived & am living. Next generation only could become engineer. Copying is very tough. Copy can’t help you to jump.

3.   Sindri – This was my work-place. I did engineering and helped all my siblings to do engineering (not Electronics though) & a Doctor. Transformational change is tough, arduous, dangerous but feasible. Everyday efforts of mine brought colour & we did unimaginable things in independent India in 20 years, 80s & 90s. With my book on unlearning in 2005, efforts & theory got documented for the world. They are available in 400 pages for all those who are willing to excel. The books with chances of copying are available for those who can read, understand and try to emulate to achieve excellence. Its more than 13 years, in 2018, I can claim that copying is just not possible. It’s a myth. Books can be written on Outliers but life is not as simple as Malcom Gladwell or for that matter any British, Americans or even Indians feel. Copying and achieving excellence is far from real. Copy can’t help you to jump.

Success & achievements are just a very long and arduous journey, everyone has to travel. You cannot get knowledge just like this. You cannot get attitude to do great things just like this. You cannot copy to be great. You have to take inspiration, motivation and put up lot of efforts to do great things. Copy can’t help you to jump simply.

Many people try to copy my activities and gain success in short term. However in long term, they face hardships and make their life miserable. As we all must understand that life is a complete frame just like a video/movie and not in pictures in bits & pieces. We must have a complete sequence of events to do big projects and to have complete scenario, we must have knowledge and vision to visualize.

There are solutions - Follow them

In last few years, I have seen many miserable people who at times try to copy my activities without taking full picture into account. I feel pity on all such guys who makes their life miserable by copying my actions, ideas and philosophy in pieces. I have few suggestions for them. Before you undertake any of entrepreneurial activities after getting inspired from my work on unlearning, you should ensure the following –

1.   Ensure enough resources & money to pursue big dreams. I have seen that many relatives, friends & even contacts start pursuing entrepreneur activities, political activities and writing work after getting inspired from me. But in long run, they have failed miserably. They have generally taken years to fail; some have taken even 10 years. I issue my warning to all such people who are trying to copy me that you must make sure that you have enough resources to pursue big dreams.

2.   Have some great idea. Many copy me just like this. They think that becoming entrepreneur gives them freedom and they will be able to have enjoyable life as #kamekish is having. They fail because they don’t have unique ideas, they have not researched enough to find great ideas nor have unique team to pursue goals. They spoil their life and after some time, they are good for nothing.

3.   Have a Team. I have tried with all kind of people as being a defence officer; it had been advantages to get associated with some great people from different walks of life. They start copying me and then I find them failing. When I speak to them regarding the problem, I come to know that even their wives are not able to co-operate or work with them. Their children pursue different goals. Their home is not sync for big dreams. They fail miserably. I urge them all to build a team. It may be as small as 2. Husband & wife will do. Father and daughter will do. But don’t try Big dream if you don’t have a reliable team.

4.   Have knowledge & wisdom. Many people try their luck by whatever they have got. They don’t have enough knowledge or wisdom to carry on. Even if in my books on #unlearning I have mentioned about #GodFather and #WisdomDomain they are not ready to create them in life. They just see few things from my activities and get inspired without putting efforts and knowing whole picture. They fail. They must create wisdom domain so that they can sustain. They must try to find God Father so that they can be protected during brutalities. Copy can’t help you to jump but wisdom domain can.

5.   Take regular advises/consultancy from me (if feasible). Life is brutal and things are not easy. Everyday decisions forces us to accept the brutal part of ground reality and we are forced to do normal things. That’s why very few get courage to do or dream for extraordinary things. If you dream big, get inspiration from me, don’t forget to take regular advises from me. I am available for consultancy and if you can afford me, I don’t mind to work with you for big dreams. It will help you to take good decisions, make life better and do great things.

Copy is good. But simply copy can’t help you to jump. Inspiration & motivation is the key for doing great things. But we should not underestimate ground realities and become victim of herd mentality.
