There are too many life coaches on LinkedIn

Well, we don't often do much in saying what we need to say - but, hey, let's just call it what it is - life coaches and business coaches are all under the umbrella of trying to pitch their services on LinkedIn.

I spoke to two monetization coaches this week, at least two brands, and I knew all the answers even before at least one meeting finished.

In short, I get DMs a lot, which I hate because they are always pitches - long ones.

I'm not quite a monetized business coach yet; it just felt like investing to build something I didn't want to build didn't make sense.

I now feel nervous about which direction to go - job hunting or keeping my brands alive without the monetized agent, as I do prefer news writing to consulting or wellbeing coaching.

Yes, content is king, but that said, if you're not happy doing what you're doing, then where's the purpose of life?

For so long, I have not figured out where God wants me to serve - I know the Bible says I need to use the gifts God has given me - however, I love investing in skills and sharpening my skill development.

Thus, this story is not about saying there are too many coaches on LinkedIn.

It is more about finding the right business model.

I wonder if the future of AI business coaches will take over the real ones.

Perhaps I need to run some AI coaches on LinkedIn - maybe some cartoons - to see what the market feels like.

AI coaches could potentially take over real ones in the future of work.

However, I think what is needed is to learn how we can improve as coaches to get referrals and proper training and development.

It seems to me we all want to sell our services to each other and not join forces - I know there is LinkedIn Live and Audio.

I think the issue for me, where I fall down as a coach, is that I hate pitching my services to anybody and don't even like being called a coach.

Perhaps there needs to be more legislation on coaching, which might stabilize the industry.

Lots of ideas are floating in this area - hope you know what you're doing as a coach - 'cause I have just started learning the industry here on LinkedIn.
