Review of the MAC Conference

Review of the MAC Conference

The two eventful days at the MAC Conference Yerevan have flown by. After almost two years without any events, the MAC organizers finally held a conference that the Already Media team couldn't miss.

In today's review, we will share our impressions and highlight the main events of the conference. If you weren't able to attend, you'll be able to relive the experience with us.

Let's start by reminding you what the MAC conference is and why it's worth attending.

This year, in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, one of the most well-known conferences for the affiliate community in the CIS region took place — the MAC Affiliate Conference Yerevan. This event brought together participants from all over the world and was packed with educational programs, presentations, and networking opportunities.

Key Features of MAC:

  • Large-Scale Exhibition: Over 100 companies from various sectors, including affiliate networks, traffic sources, advertisers, services, and media.
  • Learning and Experience Sharing: Educational workshops by industry leaders, speaker presentations with real case studies, market trends, and forecasts.
  • Global Scale: The conference attracted more than 2,500 participants from 50 countries. Thirty presentations from leading speakers like Van Oakes , Khawar Jamil Ur Rasool , and Sergey Ovseenko provided valuable knowledge and industry insights.

The Downsides of MAC:

We want to be honest, so we want to share some drawbacks of the conference. We didn't have a booth, so we can't objectively assess the construction and organization, but we did notice a few issues:

  • Lack of Air Conditioning: Given the scale of the conference, the venue should have considered the number of participants and the weather conditions. The organizers tried to fix the issue with fan, but it wasn't enough, and participants started using their badges as fan.
  • Insufficient Water: There wasn't enough water, so attendees had to search for it at exhibition stands.?

How did the Already Media team spend the conference?

MAC became an offline meeting place for Already Media. We came with a fairly large team, so it's safe to say that we accomplished all our plans and goals.

The most important and valuable aspect was that we met with our partners, received feedback, and discussed our joint perspectives.

But let's go back to the beginning: Armenia greeted us warmly and hospitably, thanks to our partners at PIN-UP.PARTNERS , who welcomed us as soon as we stepped off the plane.

As they say, "out of the stateroom into the ballroom." only in the case of Already Media, it was from the plane to the conference.

So, Day 1:

For us, it was filled with meetings and impressions. We were pleasantly surprised by the scale of the event, the stands, where each representative tried to amaze and engage us with various activations. And, of course, there were Armenian treats and traditional dances.

This day can be marked by meetings with 4RABET , where we discussed our partnership and future prospects in the Indian market, trends, and changes in the iGaming world with representatives from Partners 1xBet - Affiliate program . At the CLICKLEAD.NETWORK stand, we discussed traffic test driving, and with 1win Partners , we held a discussion on PPC and growth points in 2024. Additionally, we networked excellently in the lounge area with PIN-UP.PARTNERS

Day 2:

On the second day, we dedicated our time to discussing the CIS market, particularly its prospects with various brands. We also decided to close another goal at the conference, which was knowledge exchange. Therefore, we came to listen to insights from Roman Manuylov on the topic of "Working with betting during major events" and Alexander Flint with his presentation on brand traffic accumulation. Building a gambling PBN. Our productivity remained high, so we had meetings with several other brands and agreed on collaborations, but more on that later. Stay tuned for updates!

The exhibition days have ended, but as usual, there are many events and parties surrounding the conference, so the Already Media team attended some of them.

Initially, the organizers announced the following list of events:

We, in turn, attended the Late night party hosted by Mostbet Partners , where we immersed ourselves in the atmosphere of an Eastern night, enjoyed a circus show, and incredible musical accompaniment. The night truly turned out to be magical!

There were so many events that the second part of our team headed to another equally fantastic event hosted by PIN-UP.PARTNERS , styled as a Sensation Boho Party. We found ourselves at one of the city's highest points, admiring the night lights, views of the majestic Ararat, DJ sets, and a performance by a show ballet.

Things to Know Before Traveling to Armenia:

As we fly in for the conference, we're all tourists first and foremost. So, aside from our impressions of the conference, we want to share a few travel hacks for being a tourist in Yerevan.

Yerevan has a continental climate, so during the warmer months, it's best to pack light clothing. It's very hot during the day, but due to the mountains, it gets cooler in the evenings, so keep that in mind.

Currency and transportation. The national currency is the Armenian dram (AMD). We recommend exchanging currency upon arrival. Why? Not all shops accept credit cards, and another important reason to have cash is for taxis. In Yerevan, the most popular taxi services are Yandex Taxi or GG Taxi, but there may also be difficulties with card payments here.

Cuisine and restaurants. What is Armenia without traditional lavash, shashlik, and dolma? But!

Especially for you, we asked the locals what they prefer in their daily lives, so take note:

Lahmajo. It's a thin, crispy lavash with spicy meat. We recommend trying it at the cozy Tun Lahmajo restaurant.

Sig fish. This fish belongs to the salmon family and is found in the picturesque Lake Sevan. We recommend trying it both fresh and baked. The best way to do this is in the incredibly beautiful Yasaman restaurant on the shore of the lake.

What should you definitely visit in Armenia?

Being in Armenia and not visiting Sevan is like being in Paris and not seeing the Eiffel Tower.

Believe me, the beauty of the largest lake in Armenia will impress you. The incredible view of the rocky mountains, the blue water, the wonderful air, and the reunion with nature are exactly what you need on such bright conference days. You can get there by public transport, but we were lucky enough to meet a friendly taxi driver who, for 30,000 drams ≈ $80, took us there and became our guide for those couple of hours.

In conclusion, we would like to express our gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity to meet with the affiliate community, gain a wealth of impressions, exchange experiences, and meet new people. We networked in the best traditions and learned all the latest news in the iGaming world. Yerevan was the most colorful venue for the MAC Conference, welcoming us warmly and leaving us with fond memories.

Share your impressions of the conference in the comments, tell us your must-visit places, and see you at the next conferences!
