Is this the problem you've been trying to solve?

When hard-working, successful leaders come to me for help, what do you think we talk about first?

They might be having problems with team members, employees or their leader.

They might not be hitting their sales quota or fearing it's an impossible task.

Or may want?to vent feelings of frustration or fear or feelings of inadequacy.

Many just want?to have someone they can trust to talk to and bounce ideas off within a safe space and help them make decisions they feel confident to execute.....it's lonely at the top!!

Whatever we start with I can guarantee when we are discussing growth and change, either personally or organisationally,?this will always come up sooner or later....

The inner critic.....telling them they aren't good enough?or simply instilling them with self-doubt and fear of failure as they charter new territories???

And I’ll let you know a huge secret…..

Even the most confident, senior, successful ones admit to feeling like this at times too ??

For some, this feeling becomes the driving force for a feeling of constant disappointment.

Most of us have experienced ‘negative self-talk’ at some stage in our lives…..

It’s the voice in the back of our head that can sometimes compel us to?act or much of the time?cause us to shrink, avoid?and self-sabotage.

Our internal chatter?determines how confident we are, how we perceive ourselves and how much risk we feel we’re able to take.

It also impacts how others perceive us as we are 'leaking' how we feel all the time ??

Some of us have such a strong negative voice, that we don’t even recognise the unhelpful direction we’re being taken.

Negative self-talk ??

Left unchecked, it becomes the voice of truth ??

It has the power to make or break us.

So, is that it?

Is it game over?

Of course not ??

A fundamental learning in your journey to overcoming those feelings is; understanding why it’s happening…

Something is triggering this response.....

It may be as a?result?of several reasons. Often it's?this ????

Your basic needs as a human are not being met.

These are:

To feel?valued

To feel informed

To feel trusted

To feel connected

To be treated equally

When one (or more) of?these 5 needs aren’t being met, you can feel overlooked, ignored, worried and frustrated…..paving the way for stress, anxiety and fear.

Learning to recognise what you need and how to quiet the inner critic is not easy, and there is no quick fix.

But when we begin to understand ourselves better, prioritise our needs and treat ourselves more compassionately, we’re more able to accept and learn from our mistakes and continue to grow in confidence.

Where are you on your journey?

Are you looking for guidance to take the next step?

Or, will that negative chatter get the better of you and hold you back ????♀?

I look forward to meeting you and exploring what is possible ??
