Nail changes? Things to consider

Nail changes occur throughout our lifetime, and some of these are less concerning, such as more ridges due to dry seasons or overwashing. However, there are also clues within nail changes that may indicate an underlying health issue.

While the common nail issues can be treated, the less common findings of nails should indicate an investigation. A routine check up with a set of bloodwork is warranted if one notices a gradual nail change that is becoming chronic.

Nail changes could be a late sign of an underlying health issue, so keeping nails healthy should be a preventive focus on healthy lifestyle habits.
