Hi Honey,
We know this is a bit unorthodox. You’re used to LinkedIn being full of business advice, leadership tips, and TED Talk soundbites. But today, we’re taking over, your loving wife and kids with a plea straight from the heart (and, frankly, your overworked arteries):
We need you to lose weight!
Yes, we said it. We’re putting this out here because we love you more than you love quarterly earnings reports. And if we’re being honest, the only thing that’s expanded faster than your company lately is your waistline.
Why We’re Writing This Now
You’re a CEO. You’re the boss. You’re the visionary who built an empire. But you’re also the guy who huffs and puffs when tying his shoes and avoids doctor visits like they’re poorly performing stock options. And while you’re busy conquering the business world, we’re over here quietly panicking about whether your health is going to let you enjoy all the success you’ve worked so hard for.

We don’t want to guilt-trip you.

Let’s cut to the chase, my love:
I married a man with drive, ambition, and a sharp mind. Not someone who’s going to leave me a widow because he thought salads were “for interns.” You’re the love of my life, but I’d prefer it if that life lasted longer than the next shareholder meeting.
You spend so much time taking care of everyone else, the company, the employees, the investors. But when are you going to take care of yourself? You’re not just a CEO; you’re my husband. I didn’t sign up for “in sickness and poor cholesterol.”
Oh, and while we’re here: the snoring is getting out of hand. I love you, but your nocturnal chainsaw impression isn’t doing shit for my beauty sleep.
And I'd like to see something going up every now and then and not just the stock options.

From Your Kids
Hey Dad,
We get it. You’re the big boss. But can we be honest? You’re the only dad at the school event who’s winded after walking from the car to the school gates. It’s embarrassing, and not because you’re that guy who loudly takes work calls during sports day.
We want you around for all the important stuff. Graduations, weddings, teaching us how to adult (because frankly, we’re clueless). But the way you’re going, we’re worried you might not make it to any of that.
Also, not to be rude, but you’ve been dodging the family 5K like it’s a hostile takeover. We know you’re “busy,” but if you can schedule a meeting with your CFO, you can schedule a workout.
The (Tough) Truth
We love you, but you’re not invincible. No one is. All those late-night pizzas after “just one more email,” the skipped workouts because “there’s no time,” and the constant stress? They’re catching up with you.

What We’re Asking

? Take 30 minutes a day to move your body (and no, pacing during phone calls doesn’t count).
? Put down the late-night snacks and try something green that isn’t a golf course.
? Schedule a check-up and actually show up to it.
We’ll be here every step of the way, cheering you on, supporting you, and maybe even joining you (though we reserve the right to laugh if you fall off the treadmill).
The Bottom Line (Because We Know You Love That)
You’ve already built an incredible legacy at work. Now it’s time to build a legacy at home. One that doesn’t involve early retirement for your heart. Your company can replace you; we can’t.
We love you, but we also need you. Not just for now, but for all the moments we haven’t had yet. So let’s get to it, boss. Show us the same grit and determination you show at work, because this time, the ROI is your life.
