Copilot in OneDrive now generally available

OneDrive is obviously an important tool at M365. But OneDrive is more than a tool, it's our daily companion.

Even better, the copilot in OneDrive became generally available last Friday. ??

I've already used Copilot in OneDrive for some great use cases, and I thought this would be a great new episode of Copilot Your Day.

Working with Copilot has never been easier. All you need is your Copilot button next to your document. Please note that all demo documents are generated by Copilot and are for demonstration purposes only.

You can also use Copilot for multiple documents. In general, you can easily select up to 5 documents in OneDrive and navigate to your Copilot button.

Summarize a document in one click

The first use case for Copilot OneDrive is, of course, summaries. Summaries are a great use case for Copilot in general, whether for presentations, Word documents, or PDFs.

And with Copilot in OneDrive, you never even have to open the document. If you want to summarize just one document, you can click the Copilot button next to the document title.

You get your summary in seconds:

Compare differences between documents

Another great feature in OneDrive is the ability to compare different documents. For example, I just had this use case in my daily work. I was preparing a Copilot enablement session for a customer and I wanted to get an overview of what we've covered over the last 3 sessions. I just selected those three files and Copilot gave me the different topics we've talked about - without opening a single document!

Ask a question about a document

Of course, you can also use Copilot to interact with a specific document without opening it.
