Day five of COP27 is?Science Day Today sessions were dedicated to advances in climate science and the impacts of climate change on ecosystems, biodiversity, and global communities in a bid to ensure actionable steps are based on credible science. The perfect day to discuss the important contributions of #nucelar in solving the climate challenge!
As COP27 develops in Egypt we reflect on ancient Egypt as a Scientific society; they used innovations and inventions to ease duties in their daily life. Some of the most notable innovations were the Pyramids of Egypt which were well-engineered and constructed using innovative techniques.
This innovative inspiration brings us to think about today's challenges. Solving the climate crisis requires a science-based and innovative approach. This means using all the tools available to us for building a sustainable future for all. An example of this is recognizing the important contributions of nuclear science and technology to a decarbonized society.
Being on this important climate summit, we need to be reminded that science enables innovation that leverages global adaptation policies for climate change; and that science and Technology have indeed revolutionized our thinking and strategies towards net zero global emissions.
