#COP15 and science-based targets for biodiversity
At Natura & Co, we believe that it is our duty to take bold action to advance sustainable sourcing that respects both people and biodiversity. Our approach is rooted in the understanding that local producers are not just suppliers, but also key partners in conservation and regeneration. We also recognize the valuable traditional knowledge that these producers hold, which is essential for the health of our planet.
As #COP15 gets underway for a second week in Montreal, we’re reminded that science has shown that we have only 10 years to reverse the loss of #biodiversity . This is not just a moral obligation, but also an economic imperative.?
As a company, we rely on nature to thrive and prosper. That's why we are building on our strong track record of adhering to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity and expanding our practices to enforce the Nagoya Protocol through Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) payments. Our goal is to prevent further biodiversity loss and to protect the natural world.
At Natura &Co, we are committed to sharing our knowledge and expertise with our partners. Through our mother brand Natura we have over two decades of experience sourcing bioactive ingredients in the Amazon region in collaboration with traditional and indigenous communities. Our sister brand, The Body Shop has developed partnerships with 18 community trade systems across 14 countries.?

We are proud of the progress we have made in advancing sustainable sourcing and protecting biodiversity. We and our brands will continue to work with our partners to drive positive change and make a real impact on the world.
