COP a load of this ?? — EcoSend Weekly #8

Hello!

This week’s edition is written by candlelight, thanks to all but 3.5 hours of daylight we’re getting in the UK at the moment.

With dreams of sunnier climates, we’ve made it as far as… grabbing a pint in Scotland. But with good reason as we attended yet another sustainability event.?

But for now, we thank you again for subscribing and choosing to care about the planet.

Until next time,

Rachael

NEW MILESTONE REACHED

EcoSend's biggest month yet

November was our best ever month for EcoSend, with the highest number of emails sent through our platform to date.

We know November is a busy month, with everyone and their dog offering a Black Friday deal. We've loved seeing EcoSend customers send more thoughtful campaigns during a season that is fraught with incentives to consume more than is necessary.

We're incredibly proud to set another record internally — it means we're moving closer, one step at a time, to our mission of eliminating the carbon footprint of email marketing.

Also new this week: the EcoSend Domain changes are now live for everyone, so you'll find it easier than ever to get up and running with sending campaigns.

WHAT A COP-UP

COP28 puts digital sustainability under the spotlight

The COP28 climate conference held in Dubai this year has entered its second week.

Unfortunately, the official website has been making waves for all the wrong reasons. Visitors are given the option to toggle between a "low carbon" version of the site or remain on the "full carbon" version they were automatically placed on.

We wish we were making this up, but it's true.

With so much free knowledge available on the carbon emissions generated by the web, including from the brilliant Tim Frick (author of the Web Sustainability Guidelines?and previous EcoSend Podcast guest) there’s never been a better time to make your website more climate-conscious.

P.S. Learn more about how websites generate CO? in our post? How To Get A Zero Carbon Website.
