COORDINATION
COORDINATION is the organization of the different elements of a complex body or activity so as to enable them to work together effectively and efficiently.
Providing the most useful information is at its core a major effort of COORDINATION.
We have grown so much that we have so many teams working on our efforts you probably don’t realize how much is happening every day, and where someone else may be doing something that can help you or where you can help. We already have some systems for COORDINATION of this but as we get better at recognizing it and communicating it we will see much more to come.
COORDINATION will help us whether we are improving our execution for established efforts and quality improvement, or applying STARTUP efforts and coordinating that with existing efforts.
The alternative is a series of uncoordinated efforts and activities. Do you have anything happening today in which you are frustrated because something is uncoordinated? If so, can you help improve it in some way? Have you taken actions to coordinate it for yourself that may be helpful for others?
“What you're supposed to do when you don't like a thing is change it. If you can't change it, change the way you think about it. Don't complain.” –Maya Angelou
“If you took one-tenth the energy you put into complaining and applied it to solving the problem, you'd be surprised by how well things can work out” –Randy Pausch
