Cooper Cares Award Nominee: NEXTGen Tech

Each year, through their initiative Operation Nerdmas, NEXTGen Tech ensures that every child at the Home experiences the joy of Christmas. The company fulfills wish lists for 20-30 children, providing 3-5 gifts per child, and makes regular donations to support the Home’s ongoing needs. This initiative extends beyond technology—it's about bringing hope, joy and love to children facing difficult challenges.

Beyond their work with the Children’s Home, Operation Nerdmas reaches families in need throughout the community. By partnering with local churches, the Department of Human Resources, and schools, NEXTGen Tech ensures that no child goes without gifts during the holiday season. This initiative reflects the company's belief that the spirit of giving should extend beyond business and into the heart of the community.

NEXTGen Tech’s dedication to community service doesn’t stop with Christmas. The company actively supports Autism Awareness, participating in the Annual Autism Awareness Festival in Rogersville, AL. They contribute by donating and organizing activities like the Train for Kids and providing inflatables for children to enjoy. NEXTGen Tech also partners with Easter Seals to offer internships to children on the autism spectrum, giving them valuable work experience and the opportunity to build a brighter future.

Additionally, NEXTGen Tech collaborates with Florence City Schools through the Falcon Launch program, offering teens hands-on IT experience. Many students have gone on to receive full scholarships to prestigious universities, thanks to the skills and experience gained during their internships at NEXTGen Tech.
