Cooper Cares Award Nominee #3: Tekie Geek
At Tekie Geek, community involvement is more than a core value—it’s their identity. From supporting autism awareness to participating in local initiatives, Tekie Geek consistently strives to be a superhero for their community.
They’ve played an integral role in raising awareness for autism through their work with the GRACE Foundation of New York, helping break two Guinness World Records: the largest human puzzle piece and the largest human infinity sign. Both events served to spotlight autism and provide much-needed support to families and individuals affected by it.
Tekie Geek’s contributions don’t stop there. They actively support the Pride Center of Staten Island with events like "Crawl for All," ensuring that everyone in the community, regardless of background, is heard and valued. Additionally, their involvement extends across 7 non-profit boards, where they donate their time and expertise to help these organizations thrive.
In their everyday operations, Tekie Geek supports non-profits by giving back 20% of all service charges to their clients, allowing these organizations to focus more on their missions. They also volunteer regularly with initiatives like Meals on Wheels of Staten Island, golf outings, and other community events.
At Tekie Geek, they truly live by their philosophy of being IT Superheroes—not just for their clients, but for the community at large. Their work with the GRACE Foundation, along with many other efforts, showcases their dedication to creating lasting, positive change in the world around them.
