COOLING SYSTEM TESTER
The Wurth Cooling System tester can be used universally for pressure testing of many cooling systems. The unit is suitable for testing cooling circuits, radiators, cylinder head gaskets and water pumps.
The inflatable sealing bellows enable the testing of a wide range of cooling systems such as radiator necks (from 20 – 48 mm), radiators or expansion tanks, bayonets and even screw caps.
The Wurth Cooling System Tester can be used for nearly all passenger cars, commercial vehicles as well as a variety of motorcycle and marine engines. Securing rings enable even the testing of running engines and the securing clamp surrounding them prevents any slippage of the sealing bellows.
The set consists of a high quality pressure pump, spare sealing bellows, 6 cap adaptors, 3 securing rings as well as an operating manual. All together in a resistant case.
Application:
Insert sealing bellows into radiator neck and adjust the securing clamp to the bead of the neck (if any) by means of the adjusting wheel.
Adjust the sealing bellows to the respective depth of the radiator neck taper by means of the adjusting wheel.
Inflate the bellows with the pressure pump.
Set the valve and generate the desired test pressure (approx. 1.3 bar) with the pressure pump.
The pressure in the cooling system may not drop by more than 0.2 bar within 10 minutes.
After completion of the test, relieve the pressure, reset the valve, deflate the bellows and remove from the radiator neck.
