Cool survival tips!
Here are some really cool tips for those who want assistance dealing with what's going on (again, please self-verify before you try this @ home or share information):
1. Heat- I'm a self-proclaimed fan of the therapeutic purposes of steam therapy. For many years I would always go for 20 minutes after my workout because it helps kill all types of bacteria's and viruses. Coincidentally, I spoke to 3 random people today that mentioned doing the same today. It's more about the heat going directly into the sinus cavity. Viruses cannot live in that heat. Some people actually use a normal hair blow dryer + a squirt bottle of water when they are feeling sick as it works very effectively. It's very well know therapy, has been around be along time and the government/FDA has known about it for years. I had an amazing video to share with you, but Youtube removed it for "Policy Issues", coincidentally, today. Do your homework.
2. Vitamin D- As we race to develop effective treatments and a vaccine against COVID-19, people are looking to reduce their risk of getting sick. One thing that might help is as obvious as the sun in the sky and as close as your medicine cabinet – Vitamin D.
Higher COVID-19 mortality rates among older people and those with chronic conditions suggest that a weakened immune system contributes to poor outcomes. There are many crackpot claims about miracle cures floating around, but the science supports the possibility – although not the proof – that Vitamin D may strengthen the immune system, particularly of people whose Vitamin D levels are low.Vitamin D supplementation reduces the risk of respiratory infection, regulates cytokine production and can limit the risk of other viruses such as influenza. A respiratory infection can result in cytokine storms – a vicious cycle in which our inflammatory cells damage organs throughout the body – which increase mortality for those with COVID-19. Adequate Vitamin D may potentially provide some modest protection for vulnerable populations.

3. I find it very relieving to keep a temperature journal. List your temperature when you wake up, midday and before bed. Watch the trending and if it goes up you will be very early in your detection. If it stays normal, then you have peace or mind.
4. Meditate: Staying balanced helps to reduce stress and in fact will help strengthen your immune system.
Meditation improves the immune system, reduces blood pressure and even sharpens the mind, according to research. Now new research suggests that mindfulness meditation can have benefits for health and performance, including improved immune function, reduced blood pressure and enhanced cognitive function

5. Healthy ways to boost your immune system:
- Don't smoke.
- Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables.
- Exercise regularly.
- Maintain a healthy weight.
- If you drink alcohol, drink only in moderation.
- Get adequate sleep.
- Take steps to avoid infection, such as washing your hands frequently and cooking meats thoroughly.
- Minimize stress (above #4)

The point is that there are many things that are in YOUR control during this time. DO your homework and see if any of these steps could help you or anyone you may know.
Be well. Be safe. This too shall pass!
