THERE'S NO HUSTLE LIKE A PINEAPPLE HUSTLE

Imagine the words ‘gild’ and ‘lily’* together in a cocktail context and one’s mind could be forgiven for flicking towards Stockholm’s 20hundra5 bar and its signature offering: the Pineapple Hustle #6.

(Hey 20Hundra5 bartenders, you and I both know that fresh pineapple and (any) white spirit is a thing of beauty, you were even at a presentation I did once in Sweden where I talked about this (allegedly - it doesn’t sound like something I would talk about).)

Well, rest assured that a not undue amount of thought and processes have gone into the aforementioned gilding and the result is not as the phrase suggests… the drink is currently enjoying incarnation #6. Pineapple 6 (tasty) ways – peeled, roasted, infused, salted, foamed & bittered.

As the bartenders there say. ‘If you’re allergic to pineapple, this drink will kill you”

*For any overseas readers, ‘gilding the lily’ is an English idiom which could be simply explained as ‘unnecessary adornment’
