After a warm welcome, we started with our interview.

1) What does it mean and what is the story behind creating this robot?

Nick tells us the interesting story of how he worked with origami robots, and then took them to various places. People when crazy for them, and asked him where they could buy the product, and Nick and his team told them the robots were not for retail, but by seeing how much people loved it, they decided to actually make a product out of it. The name, Kamigami, comes from the word "origami", and "kami" means the paper used for origami (in Japanese). So Kamigami is like the plural.

2) What were one of the most fun and one of the most challenging parts of this entrepreneurship journey?

One of the most fun things that were during Nick's Entrepreneurship journey was going to China to make a documentary about start-ups and it was fun staying in Shenzhen, with a Chinese-American crew. He enjoyed staying there for 2 weeks, talking about their product, and learning about other products. 3) Robotics is such an emerging field. How one can get into it at an early age?

Nick tells us how there are so many amazing toys that can start getting kids into robotics nowadays, and starting with those toys are probably the best way to get into robotics. Nick also tells us one more way to get into robotics at an early age. You can watch the second way at 3:50.

4. What makes you happy?

Some things that make Nick happy are his family, seeing his team work together to create something new and seeing kids smiling after playing Kamigami.

5) What is one piece of advice you want to give to kids of my generation? Any piece of advice to kids of my generation?

"My advice would be to do your homework, and do it to get good grades, understand the concepts, and grasp the concept. Don't just try to memorize, try to understand, 'cause that builds over time"

 6. Cookies chocolate or cake - Which one is your favorite?

For Nick, it's not really dessert unless there's some form of chocolate, but he's not really a fan of chocolate in general. So, just like me, Nick's favorite is cookies.

Thank you, Nick, for amazing advice that many kids can learn from, and it has been a pleasure talking to you!

"Cookies with CoderBunnyz", is an interview series and talk show by CoderBunnyz. Kids need to learn a lot on their journey to become an amazing adult, from those who have been there. In this series, I ask simple questions to Entrepreneurs, Educators, Leaders, Librarians, Technologists, and Individuals, who are making an impact. Kids could learn a lot from their experience. Not only I learn a lot myself, I try to work as a conduit for conveying that message for kids through these series of interviews. If you would like to nominate someone that could help shape kids of the future, I will be glad to talk to them. Please send a mail to [email protected]
