During the summer, 10 eager volunteers walked 11.5 miles from Newport to the Dementia Research Institute in Cardiff, to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK. It was an extremely sunny day and the team did very well, blisters and all!
A total of?£15,550?was raised?through Charity Lotto funds and the volunteers' JustGiving page.?All funds raised will allow the 90k PhD Students to continue their research, projects and the important work that is being done to understand the disease further.
A new?health and wellbeing suite has been officially opened at St Alban’s RC School in Pontypool after the Mindstep Trekkers completed a tough 177 mile sponsored hike through Offa’s Dyke national trail.?Funds raised enabled the school?to complete a dream project to open a state of the art facility to help young children from the school. The amazing £25,000 fundraising target was achieved through donations made to the Conveyancing Foundation Lotto from Convey Law clients.
Together with our sponsors?we have raised a total of £31,766.25.?These funds have ensured that the 13 charities organised by the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) are responding to the crisis, providing emergency aid and support to families in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries.
They have been able to provide essential items like food, water and shelter for displaced families and medical support including incubators for babies in Ukrainian hospitals. DEC charities and their local partners have also supported vital protection work to ensure vulnerable people are kept safe and helping them settle into their new lives.
Without the support of people like you, none of this could be achieved. On behalf on the Disasters Emergency Committee and the Conveyancing Foundation, we wish to extend our most sincere thanks to all those who have supported this appeal.
