Convert Easytrieve to COBOL Easily
MANASYS Jazz can convert simple Easytrieve programs into COBOL in minutes, complex programs in about an hour. Clear, efficient COBOL requiring no special run-time support or license. Let MANASYS automatically handle syntax differences, fix invalid (to COBOL) Easytrieve names, handle different condition and loop forms, and more.
Conversion is a simple 2 or 3 step process. First, create Jazz definitions of the input data, using Data/Import from Easytrieve. If file or field names are invalid for COBOL, this is handled automatically. You can easily add missing information - DSNAME, KEY, etc.
Second, create a Jazz program with Logic/Batch, naming the input file, checking option "Enable EZT Conversion", and checking WHERE, ORDER, and PRINT as relevant. An Easytrieve program has a similar structure to a basic report program in Jazz, so unless there are calculations you can finish here.
Third, if the Easytrieve program has calculations and other logic, use the Easytrieve Conversion Notepad to convert this to Jazz, and copy it into your program. The conversion notepad does almost everything for you, occasionally you help it out with simple editing.
Now click [Process] and MANASYS instantly turns the Jazz program into high quality COBOL. Let us prove it - let us give you a quote for one of your programs.

3 年All uppercase COBOL brings back such fond memories. Haven't touched (#Microsfocus) #COBOL in over 20 years, but loved every second. Cool tool.
