Conversations of Inspiration

I have been following Holly Tucker for a while. I was obsessed with Not on the High Street before I realised she was the founder. What better than searching a word to find a suitable present for someone. An example being my Dad, he is so hard to buy for, so I searched "cricket" and got him a table lamp for his study whose stand was made of vintage cricket balls. He was delighted!

The Holly opened a shop (with a deli) for creative small businesses and I was even more obsessed and had to know more about this lady. I then started to follow her podcasts Conversations of Inspiration which she has taken on the road as a series of live events.

So for anyone that knows a bit about me.... she does everything I love.....including her name spelt with a Y.

Last night I attended Conversations of Inspiration at Manchester Cathedral. From the event branding; to the neon signs; the carefully curated stage and props; motivational quotes; brand activations and a Ginspiration Bar.

I have to keep inspired and do things that light me up and..... attending events as a delegate or guest really gets my ideas going. So yes.... I organise events and love attending events....I'm a self confessed event junky.... but funnily enough that was the theme of the evening.

Do what you love; love what you do - I can honestly say I do. So here are my take outs from Holly Tuckers speech. I am not a stalker honestly!

Being happy and fulfilled is the only way you will make a difference.

Being exactly who you are for a living.

Running your own destiny.

Write down all your passions - all the things that make you feel the happiest version of yourself. The things that make your heart explode.

Have you found your purpose the reason bigger than yourself or money? Purpose is the fuel in this journey through life.

Build this one life...the good life....a life that is whole. There’s no such thing as work life balance it’s just called life and work is part of it. Build your life brick by brick - to include your dreams, passions, family, partner and friends.

Integrate your family into your business as much as possible.

Everything worth having requires work.

Failure is the only path to success; taking risks be successful because through failure we learn. Move from failure to failure without the loss of enthusiasm. Have bottles of enthusiasm! Share and apply it everyone.

Seek the path of less resistance. If the door keeps shutting the Universe is trying to tell you something. Follow the path that’s opening up for you.

Follow your passion with full speed. Luke warm isn’t good enough.

Relax.....You’re not late......You’re not early......You're very much on time .

Trust your gut. It’s your compass.  If you really listen to it it will never let you down.
