A Conversation with Marina Shepelsky

*Immigration Intake* Helping immigration attorneys save time and headache while helping more immigrants get what they really want.
I recently sat down with immigration attorney Marina Shepelsky, from Shepelsky Law Group, based in New York. We chatted about managing your law firm as a business and balancing home and work life.?
Marina has created a significant online presence with her YouTube and TikTok channels, which have allowed her to grow her business. We discussed how social media is an important tool for those lawyers looking to grow their business and market themselves, without spending too much money on ads.?
Marina tells me about her shift in perspective when she started calling herself the CEO of her law firm. Seeing your firm as a business, and treating it as such is key if you want your business to grow. Not only in terms of revenue but in setting up systems and processes and sticking to them.?
Consistency is another topic Marina and I discussed during our conversation. Sticking to your guns, and doing what you say you will do is how you achieve success. Not just by showing consistency with others, but with yourself. Especially when you have to work a bit harder on a skill that doesn’t come naturally to you. Marina talks about how she overcame her fear of public speaking.?
Another very important topic we discussed is the importance of work-life balance. Marina opened up about her own struggles as a working mother. Being able to properly train your team, teaching them how to be independent, and properly delegating tasks, will ultimately give you, the managing attorney, more time off to spend with your loved ones.?
