CONVENTIONAL scaffolding has been laid flat with PERI UP, revolutionising the way scaffolding is constructed. Quite literally
With the PERI UP modular scaffolding there are similarities to standard Ring-lock scaffolding but the most obvious difference is the box shaped rectangular components as ledgers and Transoms (horizontal items), Although PERI does not use the term transom in its manuals because the two components are in fact the same universal item and can be used for either function when required.

Many modular scaffolds fall well short, particularly when it comes to addressing safety in construction –The PERI UP box shaped ledger components assist manual handling issues by reducing the weight of components and in turn lowering the weight of a section of like for like scaffold by up to 35% when compared to conventional scaffolding or any similar tubular system.
PERI UP also provides a improved structural integrity with the use of the gravity-lock system. This simple device is a major improvement in safety and strength as it is impossible to remove the wedge connection for both ledger/transom without using a deliberate upwards striking force. No other system incorporates such an innovative safety feature.
Whilst the main ring lock competitors from Europe, along with the low cost copies produced in China, also promote ring-lock type scaffolding, the circular ring-type rosettes all have the disadvantage of being round, thus making storage and stacking stability an issue when compared to the flat sided PERI UP with designed stacking ability, the PERI UP inability to roll means less chance of unintentional movement when laid out flat. The older wedge-type and cup-type scaffolding models fall well short of what is required from the construction and industrial industries of today, with multiple out dated materials & features.
The unique rectangular shape of the ledger/transom is just one new change in the shape of things for the scaffolding industry. The complete range of PERI UP self-locking scaffolding decks which use a drop to lock system that provides a fast & safe to install decking system that cannot be inadvertently displaced. The decks are easy to install from below with a drop and forget system that is unique to PERI in the scaffolding industry. The bespoke decks are manufactured to suit a grid size of 25cm, this gives it the ability to provide a complete one level surface, with coverage to all scaffold bays without any gaps, not even over the transom and ledger areas. The decks lock into position more effectively and efficiently than any other system, with no need to revisit each deck individually to lock it into place by providing an additional locking plate to secure decks and close gaps. The PERI decks also have an overlapping edge ability of individual decks, this is in order to accommodate small protrusions that may need to come through the scaffolding such as cables or pipes without spending valuable time in modifying the platform or leaving unsafe openings in the working platform .
PERI Malaysia is also able to provide full training in its fully covered, all weather training centre for the PERI UP product in line with the most up to date working at height training from the NASC (SG4:15) and with an international certification from CISRS as a level 1 basic erector for PERI system or as a PERI scaffolding inspector for qualified scaffolding personnel. Ensure your staff have the best equipment and best international training and certification available.
