Convenience Champs: Kenneth Johansen, Product Developer for food at RC Norway

My name is Kenneth Johansen, I am 40 years old and live in Dr?bak, just south of Oslo. I have five children who take up most of my time. They are active in sports such as cycling, football, cross-country skiing, and ice hockey, so I am lucky to have the opportunity to be active and spend time with them. I am a trained chef, but I work as a product developer for food at Reitan Convenience Norway.??

The convenience of tomorrow

The most enjoyable part of my job is helping to create the convenience stores of tomorrow. I am very happy and proud to be part of the journey of change we are on. At the same time, I am pleased to have so many amazing colleagues who make every day great at the office.??

All my work is done with the customer in mind. I'm not on the front line towards the customer like many others, but we do our best to create products and concepts that appeal to both today's and tomorrow's customers. We must be there for the customer when they need us, and the products we sell must meet the customer's needs as they arise.?

I am so proud of the changes we are about to make; I believe Reitan Convenience Norway will define the convenience market going forward with innovative and sustainable products, smart solutions and the very best people. This makes me proud because I know that changes can often be demanding and difficult, but with a lot of courage and determination we can do it together!

Back to the 90s?

What would I do if I had a magical superpower? That’s a difficult question, and the "correct" answer is probably to stop war, feed the world and such, but I choose to be a bit selfish since this is such a hypothetical problem. But being a child and teenager in the 90s was fantastic. It was a simpler world that moved a little slower, quite simply. So maybe I would take a trip back there for a little "vacation" from hectic adult life of 2024.??
