Convatec’s Southeast regional team was “forever caring” in Winston-Salem, NC, August 24th – 26th! We were proud to be a Diamond Sponsor of the event, excited to have the opportunity to connect face-to-face with WOC nurses from all across the US Southeast.?

As Diamond sponsor, we were delighted to join the regional board members in a ribbon cutting to officially open the exhibit hall.? Our teams enjoyed connecting with old friends and making new ones in our booth, where we showcased new and trusted products and services.

We were especially pleased to sponsor Friday’s lunch symposia focused on Patient Advocacy and the Ostomy and Continent Diversion Patient Bill of Rights, presented by Convatec’s own, Joanna J. Burgess BSN, RN, CWOCN.?

In addition to being a part of the me+? nurse team in the US, Joanna is also the United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA), Inc Advocacy Co-Chair. Joanna captivated the audience for the entire symposia with her own ostomy story and her journey with the UOAA to promote the Patient Bill of Rights. The lunch concluded with many participants in the audience contributing to the conversation with stories of advocacy from their own practice.
