Billionaire Elon Musk said his health tech start-up Neuralink will soon be able to implant a chip in the #humanbrain that would let the blind see and paralysed person walk again. Musk said Neuralink will begin human trials in the next six months.?The world's richest man also intends to get one of the chips himself.

"We've submitted I think most of our paperwork to the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) and we think probably in about six months we should be able to have our first Neuralink in a human,"

AFP quoted Musk as saying in a company presentation.

Apple and Amazon plan to resume advertising on Twitter: Reports

OYO to downsize 3,700-employee base, cut 600 jobs

IPO-bound travel tech firm OYO announced it will downsize about 10 percent of its 3,700-employee base by cutting 600 jobs in the technology and corporate verticals and hiring 250 members, primarily in the relationship management teams.

"OYO will downsize 10 percent of its 3,700-employee base, which includes fresh hiring of 250 members and letting go of 600 employees," a statement said.

Product and engineering teams are being merged for smoother functioning, it added.

Indian-American Pichai was awarded the Padma Bhushan for 2022 in the Trade and Industry category. The Madurai-born Pichai was named one of the 17 awardees earlier this year.?

As per the latest data, the Maternal Mortality Ratio of India during the period of 2018-20 decreased to 97, as compared to the MMR in 2017-19, which was at 103. In 2015-17, India’s MMR was 122, while it was at 130 during the period of 2014-16.




Although some states performed well, the situation in some states, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Assam has remained poor. The MMR in the three states was recorded above 150, which is much higher than the United States’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) target.
