Hi, guys!
Welcome back to Control F5 Report, our bi-monthly Newsletter, with news, articles, and resources for you. We invite you to give us feedback and, if you like what you read, send the links to your LinkedIn communities and let them know about our Newsletter.
Without further ado, here's what we have prepared for you.
1. 12 Years of Control F5 Software
Do you recognize these two young men starting to build Control F5 Software? Of course, they are our very own Stefan Iorgulescu and Vlad Moise , who have been building the team brick by brick since 2012. We can't believe it's been 12 years since we started the company, but we're happy that we did.
And we wanted to start this Newsletter with this pic because it means so much to us: our first steps, with the same determination and energy as today. And even though we're wiser now, we keep our younger selves by the hand as a reminder that everything is possible!
Thank you for being part of our journey!

Meta is set to resume training its AI models using public content shared by adults on Facebook and Instagram in the UK in the coming months, after halting the process due to regulatory concerns.
The company plans to use public posts, including photos, captions, and comments, to enhance its generative AI models. However, Meta clarified that private messages and content from users under 18 will not be included in this data collection.
6. Useful links
These days, business decisions are based on data rather than intuition. At the same time, the sheer amount of data businesses have to deal with is unimaginable. Every time a customer interacts with a brand, there is new data to interpret. The bigger the organisation, the more data to store and analyse. No wonder there are now a number of platforms and services aimed specifically at assisting clients to keep their data in check.
Ignoring, misunderstanding, or mishandling data leads to problems. Resources may be wasted, and opportunities may be missed.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the general availability of its new Parallel Computing Service (PCS), which aims to significantly reduce the time required to process complex scientific computations.
Now, the company has released a fully-managed comprehensive HPC service with PCS to eliminate the heavy lifting of creating and managing HPC clusters.
Google is announcing several new Chrome features aimed at better protecting users as they browse the web.
Safety Check — a tool that checks for compromised passwords, Chrome updates, and other potential security issues in the browser — has been updated to run automatically in the background so that it can be more proactive in protecting users.
7. #CTOQuotes Be open to counsel, both internally and from external clients and partners!
We loved this piece of advice for CTOs from Richard Ricks, Silver Tree Consulting and Services. Check it out!
"As we know, in startups, everyone wears many hats. The key for the CTO of any startup is to know the strengths of their team members and align those strengths with the roles that need to be filled so they can succeed. Be open to counsel, both internally and from external clients and partners. Always be willing to fail fast, learn and adjust. - Richard Ricks, Silver Tree Consulting and Services."
