We all know the exciting feeling after having passed a job interview and being handed a job offer. This feeling is almost infinite and transcendent until we go to sign our contract. The constant fear of misinterpreting those big corporate legal words takes a toll on the mind.

Don’t worry though, the contract is there to keep both parties in check. Do not feel overwhelmed. Every employee is entitled to legal counsel about the contents of the contract and its stipulations.

So, next time a contract is presented be sure to read through the lines and accept only what you see fit. Never fall under the dogma that once an agreement has been reached it is signed, sealed and delivered.
