Without overstating the obvious – legal design, information design, legal tech and contract design is not a passing phase. ?
And that’s great because it means lawyers can now embrace and explore new possibilities in law.
In this week’s episode of Legal Design IRL, I re-introduced contract design.
I talked about what contract design is, how it innovates traditional contracting, and most importantly how contract design and innovation help you thrive as a lawyer.
Because as lawyers, we spend a lot of time micro editing dull, boring precedent documents that no one wants to read. It’s not fun.
Contract design allows us to design contracts with intention – with the users at the forefront. It doesn’t mean you can’t use precedent documents – it means you can use contract design to innovate new ones – that allow clients to achieve their goals.
Imagine how many new lawyers are graduating from the universities I listed each year. They’ve got legal design mindsets and expect to use contract design in their work.
Are you ready to embrace them? And most importantly – keep up with them?
?? Tune in and see if contract design?is?for?you. Link to the talk below.
