Continuing our support for Bateyes in need

Dear community,

I hope you are doing well. I’m writing to say thank you for your support of the DR Community Relief Fund. To date, we have raised over $2,300! I’d also like to forward a thank you message from Monte Coca community leader, Roberto, who sent us this video on behalf of the project volunteers and beneficiaries.

This past week, we delivered the first round of food and hygiene packages to 114 beneficiary families across 6 batey communities.

Community leaders and volunteers purchased the materials in the nearby town of Consuelo (while taking all the necessary safety measures). In addition to providing food to families in vulnerable situations, your donations also help support local businesses.

The volunteers, in classrooms offered at the Monte Coca Public School, then packaged all the rations into individual bags and delivered them to beneficiaries in six communities. 

In the coming weeks, we aim to repeat the weekly donations of food and hygiene kits, and to do that we must continue raising funds to make further purchases. Please continue to spread the word in your networks to encourage others to support the project. Your previous donation has already made an important difference, and sharing the fundraiser with others is an easy way to keep the momentum going!
