Continuing Our Hispanic Heritage Celebration (Part 2): Erica Alcala on Resilience, Culture, and Community.
At Partners Personnel, we’re proud to highlight the stories of our team members during National Hispanic Heritage Month. This month, we spoke with Erica Alcala, our Recruiting Specialist in Georgia, to learn more about how her Hispanic heritage has influenced her life and career.
The Power of Heritage:
Erica shares that growing up in a Mexican household taught her the importance of hard work, resilience, and community. These values have shaped her professional journey, especially the principle her parents instilled in her from a young age: “échale ganas,” which means “give it your all.” Erica carries this mindset into her work every day, driving her success.
Celebrating and Sharing Culture:
Erica’s favorite way to celebrate Hispanic heritage is through food and family traditions. Recently, she celebrated her daughter’s Quincea?era, a significant event in Mexican culture, and a beautiful example of how traditions are passed down through generations.
Advice for Future Hispanic Professionals:
For future generations of Hispanic professionals, Erica offers this advice: “Remain true to yourself, use your cultural background to your advantage, and break cultural barriers.” Her words reflect the strength and pride that come with embracing one’s heritage.
We’re proud to celebrate the resilience, culture, and community that our Hispanic team members bring to Partners Personnel.
Follow along with our series as we continue sharing stories of inspiration and strength this Hispanic Heritage Month!
