This post is one in a series of stories I have told. It starts out with summarizing the story being told in the visual, the background on why the story needed telling, and finally the visual itself.
The story
The framework below illustrates a program of continual learning. This framework is aimed at the individual, bus is easily adapted to a team. The objective, highlighted in red, is to be recognized as an expert by one’s peers. The outcome is to be invited to the table and be given a voice to be heard. The framework is light-weight - presented in terms of principles, instead of a rigid process.
The story behind the story
As knowledge workers our value is in our expertise and experience. Due to the pace of progress, we need to continually ‘up’ our game. The framework was constructed to depict how we might go about a process of continual learning - the learning starts and stop. In between cycles is where the expertise is applied and we gain experience.
