Context Matters...
Welcome back (if you've been a subscriber for a while) or welcome if you are just starting to read this weekly newsletter.
Increasing productivity by doing less.
Sounds easy and counter-intuitive.
However...
The Problem:?We are different
This week, imagine we are sitting at your local coffee shop, catching up on Life, the Universe, and Everything.
We are chatting about our favorite flavor and strengths of coffees.
ME: "Hey, how are you?"
YOU: "We have outsiders in our organization coaching us, and they don't understand how we are different than everyone else in the world."
The Actionable Tip: Context Matters
I allow the silence hang for a moment, as I reflect on how many times I've heard that statement as a consultant working with individuals, teams, and organizations around the world.
And. Yes.
You are different.
You are important.
You are special.

You are needed.
No matter where I travel in the world, I've come to learn that the center of the universe is the city or town I am visiting (timezone, news, impact of local / world events).
Wait.
It's not the city or town or country.
It's the individual.
As individuals have conversations and try to get work done as a team in an organization (remember -- by doing less!), it requires constant communication and checking-in to adjust for context.
Context matters.
Have some empathy and understanding around that concept when communicating with others.
Your Next Step...
