Contentos Update December 2018

Over the past few months I've looked deeper into blockchain and there are a few startups I'm pretty bullish upon. I guess you could even say I'm a brand advocate of their approach in a sense. Over the course of the next few weeks I'm going to share a bit about them on LinkedIn as articles.

For today though I don't have much time, before the crazy holiday rush. So I'm going to share some of the updates of a team I rather like called Contentos. So here's their latest bikweely update:

Contentos QuizBiz Show hit 11 million viewership in Season 1.

QuizBiz Blockchain Gameshow a Success

Contentos partnered with Liveme and Yahoo!Taiwan on Asia’s first Large-scale QuizBiz Game Show to educate the general public about Blockchain.

The show has hit a record-high of 11 million unique views after the final episode concluded on Dec, 4th where Flora Sun, Director of Binance Labs joined as an industry expert to discuss Blockchain applications with local celebrities and influencers. Previous guests that have appeared on previous shows include Ontology, a next-generation public chain infrastructure, Bitrue, a digital asset trading platform, and Crypto Congressman Jason Hsu.

We’re thrilled to see our original QuizBiz show embraced by so many Chinese-speaking viewers who, via this show, understand the future potential of blockchain technology and support Contentos’ core idea of reinventing the content ecosystem with blockchain.

Mick, on behalf of Contentos, the first patch of projects invested by Binance Labs back in this October, attended BUIDLers’ Day meeting other trendsetters in the blockchain world. Binance Labs made a multimillion-dollar investment in Contentos, who share the same believe in changing the world for better utilizing the decentralized nature of blockchain technology. Contentos’ core mission is to grant true power to content creator and create an evergreen content ecosystem fuelt by creators and consumers.

Technical Blockchain Engineering Update

We’re working hard on compatibility development. Contentos testing net is expected to roll out at early 2019.

1. Completed the development of DPoS consensus model and muti-nodes turns taking
2. Newly support pressure test for client connection tool
3. Completed Token incentive model version 1
4. Completed iBFT Consensus Algorithm design
5. Finished integration of WASM and Smart Contract development

My Conclusion

Contentos.io is exciting since it's creating a decentralized content ecosystem. With notable investors and partners, it's strength is in its B2B network in my opinion and its strategic location as the bridge between Asia and western audiences of a new trend of video-first apps. I'm pretty excited to see how this blockchain startup might scale in 2019 and 2020.
