Content Is Not Your Problem, Consistency Is...

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening Thought Leaders!

Welcome back to "The Thought Leader's Handbook," where we dissect the mysteries of thought leadership and podcasting with a dash of personal branding.

In this edition, we're peeling back the layers on the ever-elusive concept of consistency—because, truth be told, content is not your problem; consistency is the linchpin to building a thought leadership empire.

?? Consistency: The North Star of Thought Leadership

Picture this: As long as you remain consistent, keep showing up for your audience, and put value front and center, you'll become top of mind. Trust me, they're looking...

Did you know? According to an Edelman Study, 54% of Decision-Makers (and 48% of the C-Suite) spend more than 1 hour per week reading and reviewing thought leadership.

The eyes are on you!

?? Hot Takes on Consistency:

  • Get a Content Calendar: Organise your content into a calendar (doesn't have to be anything fancy, it could even be a table on a Word doc) and organise it ahead of time, so that when the time comes to post you don't have to think twice.
  • While consistency is king, never sacrifice quality at its altar: It's not about churning out content without value; it's about delivering thoughtful insights that leave your audience craving more. Remember, substance over saturation.
  • Repurpose, Recycle, Rejoice: Remember that podcast from last month? Transform it into a blog, a webinar, ebook, or quote post, get creative. Repurposing content is a BIG key to me remaining consistent.

?? Action Items:

  • Audit Your Consistency Metrics: Take a sneak peek at your recent thought leadership endeavors. How often have you posted in the last month? How much content have you produced? How many times have you added value on someone elses podcast, post or article?
  • Challenge of the Week: Ready for a challenge? Start a 30-day consistency sprint. Commit to delivering valuable content every (business) day for a month. Your audience will thank you, and who knows, you might just discover the superhuman thought leader within.

That's a wrap for this edition of "The Thought Leader's Handbook."

Until next time, keep those ideas flowing, and those podcasts rolling.

P.S. Keep your eyes peeled for the Thought Leader's Handbook Podcast launching in February ??

Cheers to Consistency! ??
