Content Spotlight: 5 styles to help you grow your visibility on LinkedIn

Digital Entrepreneur & Marketing Coach ?? Social media: 100K followers ?? Helping smart people with easy marketing and content tips
? In the Creator Series by Daniel Roth, Editor in Chief, VP at LinkedIn, I was featured and shared tips on tools for creating content on Linkedin.
??I also chatted about how to overcome your fear and start creating videos for your business.
Welcome to “String Speed” - I’ve spotted 5 different content styles that will inspire you to create content.
These are everyday voices, who are Trusted Voices in their industry.
These voices are creators of The 7 Day LinkedIn Content Challenge. Over 250 (and counting) have registered to create content to increase their visibility
I had a lady who had a LinkedIn account for 18 years and the challenge helped her create content for the first time!
Content is a mechanism to gain confidence, especially when you do it as a community (you are compelled to create and support others along their journey. Your voice matters and your knowledge is a gift to the world).
Here are five styles to inspire you to create content and build your personal brand.
STYLE ONE: SHARE THREE TIPS
The 3-tips content pieces are super easy to do. Sophia (see below) adds a 3-tip on how to spice up the mundane daily life, and this includes dancing. Karen went one step further and shared 4 coaching tips.
STYLE TWO: SHARE YOUR ORIGIN STORY
Pulled from TTV’s template - Nick shares his philosophy and how he set up his digital business. While Lolita Taub (see below) talks about her journey to help underserved founders.
STYLE THREE: POLLS IS SO HOT RIGHT NOW
It needs to be simple, that’s how James Wrigley (see below) was able to collect over 430 votes, and gained over 8,000 (maybe more now) views. While Richard uses a poll for market research.
STYLE FOUR: SHOW BEHIND THE SCENES
I love how Louis Caeser IV (see below) created videos in his closet. While Adam Stewart shows his laptop on his plane.
Adding photos adds a visual context and reinforces your key message. Use photos to tell a story and show other aspects of your lives.
STYLE FIVE: GO LIVE & COACH
The up-trend I noticed is that coaching is the new-side-hustle. Personally, I find that live streams can have fewer views, but the audience who rocks up is “warm” more your community. Coaching livestreams provide great value in understanding who my “volks” people are.
In this particular stream, I coached the 7-Day creators and answered their questions about branding, posting, commenting, and niching their brand to be The Trusted Voice.

3 年I appreciate all the content features and tips you shared above, they are so meta. I am enjoying the 7-Day Challenge. It's really pushing me to stretch out of my content comfort zone and has introduced me to really incredible content creators like those tagged above.

3 年That's an interesting summary ! Thanks for sharing !

3 年Thank you for the shoutout? As a strategy for posting to LinkedIn do you recommend a combination of styles or sticking to the style that gets the most amount of engagement? Looks like polls is getting the furthest reach for some people but my most successful post was two weeks ago with 50k views, 1100 likes over 15 shares and 40 comments- was a video of me documenting my experience in a fully autonomous vehicle. It gained me the most amount of profile views and new followers but is completely outside of my core. But it would be boring to only post polls all the time.
