The Content Rules are Different Online
...so why do people keep falling back to the traditional advertising industrial models for making content for the web?
This week, inspired by a colleague sending me her videos for feedback (I don't name any names and I told her I'd be expanding my feedback into this video, which she was cool with), I go through a list of what NOT to do when it comes to making videos for the web.
I've seen these common mistakes - from overly long branded intros to boring interview formats to being overly scripted (and formal) and beyond - over and over again. I hope this list of what NOT to do sets you (or your client/boss) on the right path.

Truly Social is a web series that you can share with your boss or client when they're not really "getting" social. It's also the name of my company - where we work with clients on helping them develop their own content series.
I've been working on this social stuff for over 18 years and I've been a participant in the social web since 1992. My videos (usually) come out every week ...with ~5 minute "lessons" on what are truly social practices (and what are NOT).

7 年Overall good ideas, but with any aspect of video marketing there are opinions that vary absolutely completely different. A 3D logo of your company flying in for one second is a good idea to establish your brand. What if Disney channel didn't have there intro, what if they just jumped into the story, it would not establish they are the people who sell Disney movies. Of course keeping it short is essential.
