Ever wondered about the diverse ways different teams from different cultures embrace the festive season? We certainly did, prompting us to survey our global teams to uncover the unique traditions they hold dear.?

What emerged was a vibrant tapestry of celebrations, reflecting not just our international footprint but also our dedication to a globalized world where local traditions play a pivotal role. ?

While the more conventional Western festivities like Christmas and New Year's Eve are widely celebrated, other non-Western traditions such as Diwali in India, Thanksgiving in North America, and Boxing Day, hold a prominent place among the festivities cherished across Acolad.?

?? GenAI: a tale of two forces?

Acolad CEO Bertrand GSTALDER , discussed the transformative impact of generative AI (GenAI) in his SlatorCon Remote November 2023 keynote. As an early adopter, Acolad had integrated AI before ChatGPT's emergence, and Gstalder emphasized the importance of technology integration for success. He outlined the lifecycle of the AI revolution, highlighting its stages and integration into daily life. ?

During the keynote, he tackled tough questions around GenAI technology and the role of humans in this revolution: to face this changing landscape head-on and understand that the human role in guiding AI tools is key and irreplaceable. To put it simply, he stated ??

AI can help automate and accelerate tasks, but humans are still needed to make the final decisions and ensure that AI algorithms operate responsibly

In his tour across global offices, CEO, Bertrand Gstalder, recently visited our colleagues in Portugal for a two-day town hall and team-building event with a little twist: team members engaged in a creative teamwork exercise where Bertrand actively provided guidance and fostered a collaborative atmosphere. ?

Sessions also included Q&A and a special celebration of work anniversaries celebrating colleagues with 5, 10, or even 15 years at Acolad!

The event wrapped up with a pizza lunch, allowing everyone to unwind together. ????????

Acolad participated in the Urgent Run in Paris, an annual event dedicated to promoting awareness and support for improved sanitary conditions in developing nations.

The team has been engaged in this initiative for several years now, advocating for universal access to proper sanitation to enhance overall well-being.?

The Urgent Run's primary goal is to generate funds for sanitation programs worldwide. The funds contribute to developing?essential infrastructure, aiming to prevent diseases and health issues associated with inadequate sanitation.?

After 23 years in the same location, the team in Rennes, France, recently relocated to a brand-new office. We're excited about the fresh start in the newly constructed co-working space! The move was commemorated with a celebratory breakfast, marking the beginning of a new chapter for our teams ?????
