Content Marketing Tips That Promote Your B2B Marketing Strategies

Writing for your specific audience will help establish a stronger connection, thereby creating trust.   • Use high quality links – Links not only help your SEO efforts (linking anchor text in particular can help you increase your web page ranking), but it also provides readers with additional sources of information. Links to other relevant pages on your website is a great way to showcase older content or allow readers to explore your business further, but don’t be afraid to link outside of your website. Linking to other websites that are relevant shows readers that you are making a serious effort to help provide them with valuable information no matter where it comes from. The other side of link building is to get other relevant sites to link back to yours. If you have a website with lots of great content it is easier to acquire or earn links links from others back to your site. The main thing to keep in mind with this effort is to acquire links from high quality sites.   
  • Create effective calls-to-action – All of your content should end with a call-to-action. Without a call-to-action, your reader isn’t going to know what you want them to do. A call-to-action should convince readers to sign up for an email list by using words that incite action and have a sense of urgency. Most businesses will also offer something in return for signing up, whether it’s a free downloadable eBook or a whitepaper or more.
  • Format your content properly – Your blog posts should be short and concise. It should also use headlines that captivate the reader and convince them to keep reading. One thing that you should avoid is posting giant walls of text – make sure there’s plenty of white space. Divide your content into bullet lists with separate headers. You want your readers to be able to quickly scan the content and be able to get a gist of what it’s about and what the main points are.
  • Keep track of content performance – Your content is required to do a number of things throughout the buyer journey in order to be effective – it needs to attract readers, engage them and then convert them. How do you know if it’s doing these things? By using metrics to see what content is attracting the most page visits, what content is getting the most social activity (via social shares or blog comments) and what content is driving the most lead captures. Using this data allows you to adjust your content creation strategy as needed to make it more effective.
