What an apt title for a show that keeps its audience highly engaged and ensures that they cannot help but CLICK on the next episode!?

'Clickbait' is the story of a perfect family man named Nick Brewer (Adrian Grenier) who is abducted and a viral video of the same is circulated online. In the video he holds up banners saying 'I abuse women', 'I killed a woman' and 'At 5M views I will die' this makes people watching the video wonder whether Nick is actually a VICTIM or a CRIMINAL making a confession! The show follows the efforts of Nick's family in finding him and investigating the truth- all while views on the viral video keep multiplying, resulting in mounting hatred towards the Brewer family.?

Each episode of the show is titled in a unique way- The Sister, The Wife, The Reporter etc. which sets the premise of the episode and gives audiences an idea of what to expect- The relationship with the said character, the possibility of the character playing a role in the crime or the character's contribution to solving the case...?

Creator Tony Ayres added, "The main thing we wanted was to engage people with a roller coaster ride that also had some kind of emotional effect. One of the virtues of that format is that you really get into the lives of the particular characters that each episode is about. It gives us an opportunity to really understand why people do what they do."?

The problem with most suspense-dramas is that audiences today figure out the big twist somewhere through the middle of the series and so, when the big reveal finally does happen, they are barely impressed let alone shocked or surprised. That’s what is so refreshing about Clickbait. Every episode makes you think you are closer to solving the mystery but at the end of it, you are proven wrong. You are left wondering 'If not him/her, then who?'?It’s only in the last episode, that the big question is finally answered.??

Hats off to the brilliant screenplay by the writers' team which ensures that audiences are on the edge of their seats the whole time. Brilliant acting by the entire cast especially actors playing Nick’s sister Pia (Zoe Kazan) and his wife Sophie (Betty Gabri).?

So who really is Nick Brewer? The perfect family man, devoted husband, caring father or a violent abuser, tormentor... perhaps, even a murderer? Watch the series to find out.
