In a 1996 essay published on Microsoft’s website, Bill Gates elaborated how content (written, audio, and video) is going to play a vital role on the internet. It was 2 years before the Google was born. His essay definitely showed us the way forward on the internet.
Though Bill Gates did not use the “king” word for content, his analysis did present content as a king of the realm. He was right; content was, is, and will be the king. The people working in digital marketing know this fact. So the Content Writers are a must.
While content is the king, the digital marketing guys treat content writers as pawns. The budget for content creation is wearing thin. Many quality writers are facing an existential threat as the market is offering nuts to them against their services.
In other words, the industry has started to pay so less which makes writers switching the profession. It is need of the hour to give the due importance to the SEO Content Writers and Copywriters. The search engines know the difference between quality and inferior content.
The people who set budgets for digital marketing and search engine optimization should allocate a significant portion of the budget for the content creation. If you pay well to writers, they create creative, unique, and engaging content that sells. All the best!
