Will Smith and Chris Rock did what the Academy wanted done...they dramatically increased the buzz around the Oscars.?The industry secretly likes it because next year the viewership will be off the chart...maybe equal to the Super Bowl.?Ok it was a mess but fill a room with a bunch of A-Listers, cheap shots at folks, ready acceptance of profanity and the ability to ignore the warning signs and stuff happens.?It isn't nice, it isn't funny but the industry, all of us have more serious issues to address than a slap...even if it's heard round the world.?
