Content Hub At Sitecore Symposium

Content Hub At Sitecore Symposium

There are a lot of sessions on Content Hub happening at Sitecore Symposium this year. I have the honor of being in two on-demand ones. I have started a list and have not gone through the entire agenda yet so if I missed a session then please let me know and I will add it.

Session: Get cracking with Content Hub

Description: So, you made a choice to pursue Content Hub as your Asset Management Platform! It is an excellent choice to ensure all your assets are managed and served better. It also will help you to lean on your wins and maximize success in the future. But with a new system, the hiccups often come in the process of embracing it. You'll need to address concerns and ambiguities to ensure no data is lost and manual steps are kept to a minimum. In this session, we'll provide you with paths to a successful transition.

Why Attend: Deepthi Katta and Richard Leiva are powerful speakers and as most of you will be just getting your feet wet with Content Hub I highly recommend jumping into this session with both feet. There are a lot of differences and gotchas especially for us Sitecore people who are used to Sitecore XP doing everything for you when it comes to data templates. You will be happy you did. I will definitely be at this session. I look forward to learning lots.

Session: Integrating with Product Content Management (PCM) for optimal content hygiene

Description: The value of PCM comes from relating your content to specific products. However, this product information typically lives in other systems like ERP, PIM and commerce systems. Join us to learn about the importance of keeping product information up-to-date in Sitecore PCM. With good content hygiene practices, product details will be relevant and accurate at all times, even when pulled from various systems.

Why Attend: Well I am presenting :) but seriously, DAM is nothing without PCM and integrating with your ERP or PIM or even Commerce platform is very important.

Session: Introducing modular content

Description: There are many pitfalls to modular content, but also many benefits. This session will discuss some of these pitfalls and how to avoid them, along with best practices for developing your modular content strategy and leveraging Sitecore Content Hub to implement it.

Why Attend: Well again I am presenting :) As a developer thinking back to before we had modular code and architectures I realized what a revolution that was. Right now marketers are at the cusp of that same revolution. Modular Content is an important part but there are pitfalls to be aware of and thus a proper strategy is needed.

There are a lot more sessions to be aware of regarding content hub to see them all look at the agenda but here are a couple I will be attending for sure:

Session: Power new experiences with Content as a Service

Description: Upcoming Content as a Service (CaaS) features allow customers to leverage any of their Content Hub data (assets, content, products, etc.) to power experiences built for any digital channel. Join Sitecore System Architects, Andy Cohen and Alistair Deneys, as they explore these new features, showing how to publish Content Hub data to the delivery platform, and how to consume that data through the preview and delivery APIs from custom sites and services.

Why Attend: Alistair Deneys and Andy Cohen have the inside info and I predict #2021YearOfCaaS so being here will give you the insights into what 2021 will be all about.

Session: Supercharge your product content

Description: Learn more about how to use Sitecore Content Hub to manage your product content creation processes in a way that accelerates time-to-market of consistent, accurate product content across all of your channels.

Why Attend: This is a good one to watch before my session on Integrating PCM because it gives you a good overview of what PCM is and why it is important.

Session: Content Orchestration: A symphony between Content HUB and Sitecore XP using Content Hub Connector

Description: In this session, we will talk about the future of Content Hub Connector and explore its features. Follow a customer journey, where you can manage the content flow from our Content Hub product suite and publish it to any channel. We will use Content Hub to create our content, define our audiences and deliver on the web channel using the Sitecore Habitat Home site.

Why Attend: I am sure that there will be some insight into new features with the connector so being there you can ask the one responsible for the connector for what you want :) I will be there for sure.

When is your book going to be published?
