Content Explodes with Savviness, Vision, and Syndication
In an uneasy and unpredictable environment, marketers are efficiently driving demand using content syndication.
In the 1990s, the song If I had a Million Dollars was an unexpected hit for the Canadian musical group Barenaked Ladies.? Its upbeat melody coupled with its catchy and playful lyrics presented the scenario of what the band would purchase if they had a million dollars, including a house, a fur coat, and even a monkey.?
With today’s budget under scrutiny and stress, marketers might entertain a similar fantasy.? What would they invest in if they too had a million dollars?
Rather than hope for a budget windfall, fast-thinking and savvy marketers are turning their attention to content syndication.? By sourcing from existing assets, demand generation can be achieved in a way that is targeted, tactical, easy-to-deliver, and low-cost. ?
Here are a couple of examples:
1. Corporate Blog Content Makes for Sweet Syndication.? Marketers are often intimidated by the pressure to create "new" to power content marketing and demand generation programs. Yet, there are a myriad of existing blog posts, presentations, Webinar replays, case studies, white papers, eBooks, and reports to be sourced from. What do they offer? Sweet syndication! Here is an example from Intelsat.
