Contemporary Bar - Design & Installation

This week's project spotlight introduces a contemporary bar designed to bring new life to the dining area of our client's open-plan family home.

After renovating their countryside home in rural Wiltshire, the dining room remained mostly untouched. Once a central gathering spot, it had become an empty, underused space.

Before and After

Our clients, who are passionate wine collectors and regular visitors to Bordeaux, wanted a wine wall in their bar area. They were looking for a way to showcase part of their collection at home, rather than storing it all elsewhere. The idea was to create a space where they could both display and enjoy their wine.

The Design

We designed a two-part storage system to meet their needs. A larger, double-depth display cabinet provides long-term storage, while a smaller cooler keeps bottles ready for immediate enjoyment.

Key Design Details

• LED strip lights are recessed inside the wine display cabinet, softly illuminating the bottles.
• The bartop shelving, mounted in front of the oak panelling using the Rimadesio Zenit system, creates a delicate, floating effect.
• Glass doors with round finger pulls and tinted glass complete the design with a clean, elegant look.
