Contemplations, on Leadership, Narrow Margins and the Path Ahead
With a population exceeding 50 million armchair football coaches the recent weeks have prompted introspection. The journey of our national football squad guided by Gareth Southgate has been a lesson in commitment, strategy and fortitude. While we fell short of victory it's those differences that often determine success in both sports and business.
In my coaching philosophy beyond my day job (Coaching a U13 Football Team) I stress the importance of growth and introspection. Like football where every pass, tackle and decision matters in finance, procurement and supply chain management every decision carries consequences. It's about grasping the intricacies learning from each instance and striving for excellence in all aspects of our endeavours.
Spanning across finance, procurement and supply chain recruitment has shown me that triumph is seldom attained alone. It demands teamwork akin to a synchronised football squad. Each player—or in our case each team member—must comprehend their role strive towards shared objectives and be flexible, amidst evolving situations.
As a thank you- Dear Gareth Southgate, I want to express my gratitude, for your leadership and the way you exemplify grace and determination. Your actions serve as a reminder that the journey itself holds value even if we don't always reach our goals. It is through these experiences that we learn, grow and pave our way to success.
