CONTEC’s information security has become more robust with ISO 27001 Certification?

CONTEC has obtained the ISO 27001 certification.

Currently, companies face the risk of economic loss and destruction of corporate reputation due to information security accidents, which is leading to an increasing need for systematic information management. Accordingly, the ISO/IEC 27001 international standard places significant value on companies establishing an information management system (ISMS).?

CONTEC has established an information protection management system and security guidelines in accordance with the new ISO 27001 standard. It has improved its structure to effectively protect and manage information assets in line with the changes in the digital environment. With the ISO 27001 certification, CONTEC has established an information protection management system and security guidelines to achieve a higher level of information security, delivering stability and reliability to customers and partners.?

Looking ahead, CONTEC will prepare a mid-to long-term roadmap to strength and upgrade its information security system through various security activities leading up to the renewal review in 2026.

Yoo Quiz - Geekble??

Recent news about CONTEC’s first satellite, “Oreum”, set to be launched in early 2024.

‘’Oreum’ is a satellite born from the dreams of 2,000 individuals, envisioned for a successful launch. The name was selected through CONTEC’s naming contest and as the name suggests, ‘Oreum’ signifies a daring venture from Earth into space, reflecting a space-oriented challenge.?

Furthermore, to mark the launch of the ‘Oreum’ satellite, CONTEC collaborated with Geekble, an engineering-focused YouTube creator, to conduct an experiment involving sending fried chicken into space. Last July, Geekble made an appearance on Yoo Quiz, a popular Korean TV show, and shared the experimental video

With the impending launch of the Oreum satellite, CONTEC hopes this will be a moment that unveils the endless possibilities of the universe. CONTEC looks forward to bringing you more interesting news and stories!

Meeting with Nanoavionics??

“A visit to Nanoavionics to check the development status and capabilities of CONTECSAT-1. Meeting with Nanoavionics tor inspection and development process of Oreum Satellite”

CONTEC visited Nanoavionics in Lithuania to assess the development status and future schedule of the CONTEC SAT-1 (Oreum satellite), which is slated for launch in February 2024. Key researchers from CONTECSAT took part in a training session aimed at enhancing the development of next-generation satellite designs and operational research capabilities. This training encompassed the CONTEC-SAT series, providing insights into satellite design processes, subsystem development, assembly, testing, operation, as well as simulation, Flatsat technology, and communication devices.?

Furthermore, CONTEC is actively engaged in an advanced conceptual design for the next generation satellite. The company is committed to advancing each control system, which includes satellite operation, mission planning, and flight dynamics.

Satellite Imagery meets deep learning??

On August 29th, research from the CONTEC Space Studio team, Jeju National University, and Jeju Institute of Industry-Academia Convergence Institute convened to discuss the utilization of satellite images through deep learning. Given the growing concern over climate change’s impact on agricultural products, this collaborative effort aims to leverage deep learning on satellite imagery to enhance the stability of agricultural management.?

Professor Jisoo Kim from Jeju National University and CONTEC’s Space Studio Team are jointly conducting this research. During the meeting, Professor Kim’s students visited CONTEC to explore the potential services that deep learning can offer when applied to satellite imagery and to gain insights into the influence of space technology.?

Endurosat??

On August 28th, CONTEC’s CEO Dr. Sunghee Lee visited the headquarters of Endurosat, a Bulgarian company specializing in cubesats.

Endurosat designs, builds, and operates class-leading nanosats for a variety of commercial, exploration, and scientific missions, with a focus on nanosatellite-based space data services and space data applications.

This visit is expected to contribute to strengthening cooperation with Endurosat, discovering new opportunities, and strengthening close cooperation with countries around the world.

CPI Orbital Systems??

Safee Idrees, CPI’s Director of Sales and Strategy for Asia, Middle East, and North Africa, visited CONTEC headquarters on August 10th.

CPI is a global communications and defense company that provides best in-class antenna systems recognized in the industry for high reliability and efficient maintenance.

This visit aims to reinforce the already strong cooperation between the two companies and emphasize our commitment to future growth.
