Consumers "wise-up" to Online Promotions
Sorry marketing and digital commerce leaders. The jig is up. Consumers have figured you out. They're wise to tactics used to lure them back to your website--mistaking traffic and visits for conversion. They're well aware of how your prices and promotions vary from store to Web and they're calling you out on price inconsistency and channel-specific offers. At best, consumers favor the channel where they get the best price. At worst, they favor a brand that doesn't force them to choose one channel over another.
