- Establishing Agile Center of Excellence (COE) at portfolio level ( IT and including business) that is supported by the Senior Management , leaders of business units . Start with a pilot project , set of projects across a value stream to piggy-back the "good" influence on the transformation .
- Organizational change management ( OCM ) program rollout – new roles and responsibility definition with clearer communication articulated from leaders to - "why" , "how" ,"what" of the change that is foreseen .
- Identify change agents and champions from business and IT with decision making capacity and who have demonstrated the transformation in pilot projects. They would become the spokespersons of transformation with the enterprise.
- Governance and OCM of transformation must be through a "Core transformation team " ( Agile coaches , Unit head , Program Managers, Delivery head/ Managers etc..), who will govern the transformation program
- Investment in tools and capabilities - uniform adoption of ALM Tools , organizational alignment to tool roadmap , vendor alliances , training , distributed agile set up ( VC , tools for face to face ) , Agile ALM orchestration, Continuous Integration - Delivery pipeline set up , test automation
- Continuous learning and fail fast culture - empowering teams , flat structure and collaboration across business , IT and users . Phase wise approach
- Vendor / partner alignment and clearly defined acceptance criteria for vendor and partner deliverables
- Investment by funding in value streams and not projects
