Consultation on a future National Youth Council

?? Have your say in our upcoming consultation exercise.

The consultation exercise follows the NYA taking ownership of British Youth Council (BYC) assets, following its untimely closure in June this year.?

Since then, we have designed a comprehensive consultation process to review the legacy of the BYC and make recommendations for a new National Youth Council, Young Ambassador programme and the role of youth voice and influence in the political infrastructure.?

The consultation process aims to inform a robust proposal for funders and commissioners to enable a new National Youth Council which can operate as an independent charitable entity.??

The project will involve a mix of focus groups with young people, group discussions and interviews with key stakeholders and an online survey (Nov – Dec 2024)?

Youth voice is integral to the process with young people with experience in youth voice supporting the co-production and delivery of a number of focus groups.?

We urgently want to hear from any groups of young people who have experience in youth voice and influencing to support this activity, starting week commencing 23 October.?
