Consultants and OpenAI, Whisper, and ChatGDP

Let’s set aside installation and setup for OpenAI with ChatGDP and Whisper for now.?There are many YouTube videos you can view that will serve.?But get that done as soon as you can.?I expect that only the best of us will survive in this new era. Our work as consultants has now been revolutionized.

1.???????You will no longer need to keep or generate copious?notes of sessions with your client or zoom meetings.

a.??????With Whisper you turn on the audio recorder and the meeting or session is transcribed.

b.??????If you load that text into ChatGDP it will return a summary of the meeting or session and highlight the focus and content of the meeting

c.??????If you used the term “deliverable” or “outcome” or other terms you typically use to indicate an agreed upon deliverable or component for a project or engagement, you can query ChatGDP for them and ask it to generate a list.

d.??????You can further specify listing any date or time ranges that are associated with your deliverables.

2.??????You will be able to get at the complexity of the tasks that comprise your deliverables.

a.??????First describe the organization you are serving by indicating size, levels of the company hierarchy, number of employees, and industry along with any other specifics you want to feed the algorithm.

???Note that you want to be parsimonious, so think “necessary and sufficient.”

?? ConIf you are a Jacques fan, indicate the number of Strata and TBD

b.??????In the same query interface (which qualifies the way the algorithm will search the text) you will now post the text again and go above the text to pose questions. It is a good idea to make at least a mental list of the questions you would expect from your client, yourself, and/or a colleague.?

????????????i.?????The interface can sometimes be tedious because it may require successive posting of the text for each question and it may force you to reword or rephrase your question several times.

???????????ii.?????The interface may also hit a size limit for the length of the text you post, so you may have to break it into sections.

c.??????Each response from ChatGPT will probably lead you to think of new or different questions of phrasing of questions.?Treat ChatGDP as if it were a spouse or child that you have to explain yourself to in multiple ways, but that genuinely wants to understand you and respond to you.

3.??????The “conversation” you have had with ChatGDP can now be copied and posted into a document you can edit and shape for reporting and later consideration for improving your service.

a.??????The conversation is saved within ChatGDP so you can always refer back to the raw data as well as append additional questions into the interface.?This is a wonderful benefit because you now can iterate and refine until you achieve a clarity on your own understanding of the client and the project.

b.??????In the course of the “conversation” you will also be triggered in surprising ways.?I’ve been consulting for over 35 years at C Suite levels. The need to clarify my thinking is as good as any Board Member’s challenge of the work or any CEO or other internal contact’s need for specification.

4.??????The dialogue with ChatGDP can be used to empower and expend your vision of your own work.

a.??????You can ask for alternatives to your approach as if you had a team of colleagues smoking over your planning and strategy.

b.??????You can ask the interface to search for similar projects or problems and the programs and projects and strategies that were applied or considered.?
